CARMEL (KCBS) – At four years old, many kids are still learning nursery rhymes. But not Nicholas Brady. He is a violin prodigy performing classical music in front of large audiences on the California coast.

He performs monthly at the Church of the Wayfarer in Carmel, before as many as 150 people at a time.

He’s actually been involved in a music program I run, called Music Together, it’s a program aged birth to five years,” explained his teacher, Stephanie Brown.
“Usually as the repertoire becomes more difficult, obviously they have to slow their progress to master the pieces however he’s actually accelerating his rate of learning,” she added. “The average violin student that I would teach, it would take them several years to progress to the level that he has. He’s really operating as if he’s twelve years of age.”
Nicholas has been in Brown’s music program since he was a one-year-old.

“He does initiate practice sessions often at home and he’s actually learning the piano as well at the moment.”

Quite simply, Nicolas is a “natural musician,” said Brown.
